About API keys

An API key is required to request an access token. Use the access token to access resources with Red Hat Marketplace APIs.

Create an API key

Prerequisites

• log on to a Red Hat Marketplace account

Procedure

1. On the main menu, click your account name, click Service IDs, and then click Create Service ID.
2. On the Name box, enter a name.
3. On the Description box, enter a description.
4. On the Assign roles section, select the checkbox next to each additional role.
5. To create an API key, click Create.
6. The API key shows. To copy the API key, click the copy button.

Result

You created and copied an API key.
