Top 5 Red Hat Marketplace development updates – October 2020

by Hidayatullah Shaikh

Vice President & Distinguished Engineer, Engineering and User Experience, Red Hat Marketplace

Following a busy September GA rollout of Red Hat Marketplace, we focused much of our October work on optimizing user access abilities along with enhanced search and dashboard capabilities. We’ve also made updates to our seller onboarding experience with enhanced preview feature capabilities.

User Updates

Optimize support case management across your enterprise

Your administrators can now view and comment on all support cases associated to your account.

Take advantage of streamlined search capabilities to find the products you need

To make it easier for you to find the products you’re looking for and improve product discovery, we added new filters for product rating and vendor rating on Red Hat Marketplace. We also enhanced pricing term filters and updated our search function to include feature content from product pages.

Search products

Quickly view purchased software, free editions, and trials from your Dashboard

You can now easily drill-down to view exactly what products you currently have active subscriptions for. From Dashboard, in the Active subscriptions section, click purchases, free editions, or trials to launch to a filtered view on My software.

Access resources with Red Hat Marketplace API

You can now get an API key using a Service ID. To gain access to our resources, simply call our authentication endpoint and pass your API key in the request. We’ll return an access token that you can use to call other resources. To learn more and get started with Red Hat Marketplace API, check out our API documentation.
